Training Series

TechServe Alliance offers a four-part, online training series – Technology Made Simple for Technical Recruiters (& AEs) – presented by Dr. Obi Ogbanufe.

The goal of the training series is to make Recruiters and Account Executives more conversant in the language of the key technologies and associated skill sets enabling them to be more successful in their roles.

Non-technical recruiters and account executives will come away with a better understanding of the technology fundamentals that will allow them to more confidently source, engage, interview and place technical talent as well as communicate more effectively with hiring managers about their technology talent needs.

 

About the Speaker

Obi Ogbanufe, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Information Technology and Decision Sciences at the University of North Texas where she teaches courses in data mining, cybersecurity, predictive analytics, and data warehousing. She has worked in many technical and managerial roles in the private and public sectors. She is also a former technical recruiter and is the founder of Indigomark LLC, a technology consulting company.

Her book and course series include “Technology Made Simple for the Technical Recruiter,” “Spanish Edition of Technology Made Simple for the Technical Recruiter”, and other technical screening books in Java, Databases, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.

What's Included in the Training

The Technology Made Simple online training series will provide an overview of programming languages, technical workflows, lingo for Cloud, DevOps, Mobile technologies, artificial intelligence, Big Data, cyber security, and other crucial skill sets in demand by clients.

Each training session will include:

  • Overview of technology
  • What skills are required for each technology
  • Language to use when discussing the technology
  • How to review job requirements
  • Sample questions to ask candidates when screening for technical skills
  • Explanation of why the questions matter and how to evaluate the answers
  • Handouts to support content
  • Access to all 4 training sessions

Equipped with this information, recruiters and account executives will be able to confidently analyze client and candidate requirements to be more successful in their roles.

This program is offered as a series (access to four on-demand training sessions along with handouts). One attendee is permitted per registration with group discounts available.

PLUS – All registrants will receive a copy of Dr. Ogbanufe’s book Technology Made Simple for the Technical Recruiter.

 

This training series applies toward your Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)

Your certification is valid for three years.  To maintain your certification, you are required to take 24 hours of continuing education over the next three years. You must keep track of your CE credits through your personal certification account at http://tsa.mycrowdwisdom.com.
