The TechServe Alliance M&A Portal: Company Buy/Sell Listings
The new online M&A portal allows owners of member companies to post listings expressing their interest in either buying an IT services firm or selling their company. For listings posted on the "Sell" slide, companies can post a profile of their firm anonymously. Firms interested in buying can post a listing of the types of firms they wish to buy.
TechServe developed this portal so owners of member firms can communicate their interest in buying or selling an IT services firm to a broad audience of prospective member buyers and sellers - enhancing the efficiency to the process and filling a void.
How It Works
The individual at each company designated the prime contact with TechServe Alliance has the ability to access the M&A Portal to either post or view the buy/sell listings.
If you wish to list on the Portal, the system prompts you to provide information on your firm based on the following:
For potential sellers, you have the opportunity to have the information publicly available on the site or elect to keep your contact information confidential. If you elect to keep your contact information confidential, a prospective purchaser can contact you by email through the system which will maintain your anonymity. Upon receipt of the email, you can decide whether to respond to a prospective purchaser's expression of interest or remain anonymous. Sellers will also be able to upload a file.
For potential buyers, you complete a profile describing the type of firm you are interested in acquiring. A drop down menu allows you to designate the preferred locations of any potential acquisition. You also have an opportunity to upload a file containing additional information about your firm.
Buyers and Sellers may also search the listings by pre-established criteria or by keyword. Each member firm will be able to post one buyer listing and one seller listing.
