State and Federal Legislation
We are pleased to announce the new TechServe Alliance Legislative Tracking Service. This new member benefit will track and report on legislative activity at the state and federal level that may potentially impact the IT services industry. It is available to members only on a complimentary basis and will compliment our newly launched Legislative & Legal Update.A unique feature of the service is an interactive map of the United States. To review pending legislation in a particular state, roll your mouse over a state highlighted in blue (a state highlighted in blue indicates pending legislation) and right click. The details of active legislation will appear below the map.
While we will constantly update the legislation we are tracking as new bills are introduced, given the nature of state legislation (which is both extraordinarily voluminous with relevant issues not always easily gleaned from the face of the bill), the tracking service may not identify every bill of interest on a real time basis. Accordingly, if you or a member of your team become aware of a relevant bill that you believe should be tracked, please notify Susan Donohoe, Director of Public Policy, at susan@techservealliance.org with the state, bill number and a very brief description of its potential impact on our industry. Once legislation has been designated to be tracked, the system automatically reflects new activity affecting the bill and provides its current status.
