Susan Thaden, Chair

Susan Thaden, President of CRi, started the company in 1999. Susan was first exposed to the IT Industry in 1992 as a marketing representative selling Medical Software in Ohio. Two years later, she moved to Omaha to join an IT consulting firm as an Account Manager. In building CRi, Susan has participated in every aspect of the business with primary focus on leading sales and recruiting. As President and CEO, Susan has developed a strong leadership team who assists in the day to day coaching of sales, recruiting and consultant management. Susan provides the leadership and vision that keeps the company culture on track and the business growing.

Susan is a graduate of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Communications. She has received several leadership awards including the “40 under 40” leadership award from the Midlands Business Journal and is a graduate of Leadership Omaha. She is on the Board of Directors for TechServe Alliance (www.techservealliance.org), the Omaha Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Omaha Economic Development Council and has held a position on a national executive roundtable in the IT Industry since 2000. She is a Panel reviewer for the National Science Foundation (www.nsf.org) in Washington, D.C. Susan has been involved in an Executive Coaching Program, Strategic Coach, since 2001.

Chris Walters, President
Chris Walters is Director of LRS Consulting Services, a service group within Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS, which is headquartered in Springfield, Illinois. As Director, Walters is responsible for all aspects of the group's sales, recruiting and delivery activities.

Walters was promoted to sole Director of LRS Consulting Services in 2006 after having served as Director of Sales for the group since 2000. Under his guidance, the group has grown 184% across their seven consulting offices.

During his tenure as Director of Sales, Walters was responsible for the sales revenue for the company as well as developing and managing the ongoing Microsoft partnership for LRS.

Walters was President of Mackenzie and Roth in St. Louis, Missouri, when LRS acquired the consulting firm in 1999. As part of that acquisition, he joined LRS and served as account manager of the St. Louis LRS office until he was promoted to Director of Sales. Prior to joining Mackenzie and Roth, Walters served as an Assistant Vice President of Commercial Lending at Mark Twain Bank, St. Louis Missouri.

Walters holds a B.A. degree in Finance and Management from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. He has more than 20 yeas of information technology and sales experience.

Jim Carteris, Vice-President

Jim has spent the last ten years in the Technical Staffing industry as a top producer in several elite Technical Staffing agencies. Starting out as a recruiter, Jim quickly moved to account manager, department manager, Vice President and finally Sr. Vice President of Corporate Development prior to Starting his own agency. Throughout his career, Jim has been responsible for initiating and developing a top-notch team of account managers and recruiters to satisfy some of the most demanding technical needs of both small and large development companies in the Silicon Valley. Jim has founded and participated in several companies throughout the years with an eye on marketing and career development.

Tom Nunn, Treasurer
Tom Nunn is the president of Tom Nunn Consulting, LLC, a company he started in 2009 that specializes in helping owners of growing companies implement best practices to enable long term growth, profitability and health. Prior to starting his own company, Tom was president of the Eliassen Group, a national IT staffing company headquartered in Boston, MA. Over the nine years that he was at Eliassen, Tom helped develop and lead a high performing team that grew the company from $25MM to $100MM and top quartile profitability. Tom has over 30 years of diverse business experience including many years as an executive in the financial services industry where he built teams that oversaw IT and back office support for Wall Street type business in multi-national banks. Tom has been a long term active participant in TechServe Alliance and is a frequent speaker at the annual conference and the Growing Firm Forum.

Mark B. Roberts, Chief Executive Officer
Mark Roberts is Chief Executive Officer of TechServe Alliance, the national trade association for the IT & Engineering Staffing and Solutions industry. Prior to being named CEO by the TechServe Alliance Board of Directors in February 2003, Mr. Roberts served as COO & General Counsel of the organization. He is an authority on both business trends and legal issues impacting the industry. He writes and speaks frequently on industry topics including what successful firms are doing to drive growth and profitability.

Before joining TechServe Alliance, Mr. Roberts was a partner in the Labor and Employment Group of a large Florida law firm. Mr. Roberts also served for four years in the Washington, D.C. office of Congressman Benjamin A. Gilman of New York.

Mr. Roberts earned his undergraduate degree from Haverford College in Political Science. He earned his law degree with distinction from Emory University in 1990.

Mr. Roberts currently serves as a member of the Labor Relations Committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
